All for Mom's...

Was truly blessed to be a part of a Mother's Day Tea in the beautiful
Wine County known to most as Temecula, CA.

This tea-party featured some of my own personal tea-pots (pictured below), cups and tablecloth toppers, but creating and making three of my all-time favorite tea-sandwiches
and arranging flowers for this event was a personal joy to me,
teaming with close friends to serve some of the moms that mean the world to me!

I bought this teapot over ten years ago and has been by my side through thick and thin!  Though some teapot and cups come and go, this beauty is one of my staples.  She was easy to arrange flowers in as she has the feminine eloquence of beauty, style and grace -- see how elongated in beauty she is!

These table toppers are a personal favorite of mine as I came across the fabric at a thrift shop in the beautiful and quaint town of Fallbrook!  Accented with my white knitted placemats from Sur La Table, I think they made a great pairing for the day!  Thank you to longtime friends, Kurt & Lara Stewart for the beautiful ivory teapot, teacups, with the sugar and creamer...I think you won this at a football game auction...then blessed me with the goods---LOVE this set so much...a KEEPER!
The flowers I arranged were purchased from Trader Joe's and Albertsons...
thank you for giving me a gorgeous selection of your long-stems to work with
(Dollar Tree actually provided me with some basic vases, short and tall to create diverse floral arrangements of all colors, shapes and sizes)!

Teacups, sugar, creamer and tiers in this pic I took are brought to you by Trish Van Doren and Rentateaparty.com  Her pieces are sure to bring you the elegance and
beauty your tea-party is so deserving of!

Snipping, creating, filling and adjusting...every bit of it was worth all of the prep, labor and no-sleep! These events are especially fun when working with a stellar team of friends and loved ones!  Spear-headed by Kathy Schumann, this tea-party couldn't have happened without her or the delicious cupcakes created by Rebecca Ochoa of RN Cupcakes--moist cupcakes that melt in your mouth!  Rebecca!!!! Really?!?!

Prettied in pinks, whites, flowers, cupcakes and a treasured teacup of daintiness given to me as a birthday gift by friend and mentor, Pastor Kimberly Dirmann, almost TWENTY years ago!!!

A sweet table...in every sense of the word!

This floral arrangement was one of my favorite creations--
a beautiful centerpiece for a lovely group of ladies!

Like I said...some of the moms I love most were honored that day...
I pray you know how honored and cherished you are...
so glad you were honored and that you came!!

Tea for the Bride-to-Be...

Here comes the bride, all dressed in white...and that she did even before walking down the aisle to say "I do."  An "I do" came to us beforehand when Rent-a-Tea-Party had been contacted to host a bridal shower in the pretty porcelains they carry.

One of the things I love most about partnering with Rent-a-Tea-Party is in the beauty that comes naturally once every tea-cup is set and the fine china is placed.

Even though we didn't cater this one, it is a delight when we help set up...we know the joy that only friendship and tea can bring.

From 2 - 100+, we will cater your tea event, making it a tea to not be forgotten.  Our sandwiches are no ordinary tea sandwiches...and why should they be, you're not throwing an ordinary event!

Tea for Two

Tea for Two.  Love the song...enjoyed catering this lovely event for two, even more!  Nothing like catering a tea planned by a hubby for his wife--perfect gesture, perfect day, perfect tea.

Partnered with Rent-A-Tea-Party, Trish and I went to work as soon as we arrived in the beautiful backyard where the tea was to be held.  With music set to the likes of Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughn and Nat King Cole, she set-up her beautiful English China as quickly as I could prepare the salad, sandwiches, scones and fruit-plate.

As soon as we wrapped things up, the call came in and her hubby had arrived.  Much to the surprise of the wife, her husband came right on time and before you knew it, they were enjoying the intimacies that can only take place between those sipping tea.  There is something comforting about sipping a cup of the perfect tea.  Such a life is life as it should be.

And We're Off...

Due to popular demand we have branched out from the norm of our cooking classes to cater to the world of TEA!  It always amazes me how things evolve.  One sandwich turned to two...and two became four...the spiral factor never ceases to amaze me...but oh how we love adding the gourmet taste to the quaintness and bonding of the perfect Tea.   Sandwiches are no longer our only specialty.  Ever heard of a Red Velvet Cake Truffle?  Created and perfected by our lovely now-Le Cordon Bleu-grad, this truffle does more than melt in your mouth...and there are more flavors other than just the delectably decadent red to choose from. Many thanks to Rent A Tea Party for their persistence in utilizing our passion for cooking and good taste!  We are thrilled at this adventure and what it has become. Thank you to all who have partnered with us in our endeavors of bringing flavorful and pleasant tastes to the palate of those who delight in tea-sharing moments with friends and loved ones.

Be sure to spread the word--WE'RE CATERING TEA PARTIES......and loving every minute of it!

Cheers,
